Haiku from a grieving heart

The shortest distance

Between two points is your love

But I am alone

Meet me tomorrow

Along your rocky shoreline

The waves are lapping

Together we birthed

A boy, we buried a man

We began a tree

Nothing fills the cup

Rain falls from aching skies

Sadness overflows

B-, “I still love you”

My words find no resting place

A tomb is inside
