2014 End Notes, Part One: The Battle of Wits

I finally realized after all this time that the cartoon character Jon Gruber is based on-the Vizzini character in Princess Bride!

I also realized this past year that even though “marriage is a dream within a dream” Americans are now wedded to Obamacare!

Dealing with the Jon Grubers and Paul Krugmans of the world brings one to the “Cliffs of Insanity” and to the immortal indignant word “Inconceivable!”

Don’t worry, my Wesley will save us from the cartoon character who used MIT ‘wits’ to create Obamacare-“to the pain” Obamacare!

Political Sea Change Puts Global Warming On Ice

Yeah, it’s OK to be American once again. More importantly, it is OK to be human again (see a real human in the video above)!

Republicans were elected to become a majority of Congress.

The dehumanization of our country and its people over the past five plus years by Progressivism’s ever demanding Politburo bureaucracy must end now. No more redistributive fear mongering. No more redistributive shaming the people of this nation into a collective submission to the will of fact denying environmentalists or to political correctness or to universal healthcare or to behavioral economists who want to “Nudge” libertarian paternalism (Big Brother in Brooks Brothers clothes) onto you. No more.

The fog of war, the war against mankind (and against womankind), is beginning to lift. We can see a glimpse of America on the horizon. The flag is still standing.

It’s OK to walk out on the two-faced-mal adroit-in-denial Obama and his “my policies are on the ballot”. It’s OK to say “good riddance” to the worst Senate Leader in our nation’s history-Harry Reid. Obots, it is OK to be human again.

There should be no more scare tactic talk of world ending proportions: “global warming is the greatest threat to mankind.” No more of this Bernie Madoff “trust-me-in-this” type hoax.

As a people we can begin to safely and efficiently frack. We can mine for coal and continue to filter its combustion. We can build the Keystone pipeline, create jobs and the safe transmission of oil. We can apply for small business loans and for Tea Party non-profit status without the jack boots of the Obama Stasi stomping you into the ground. We can protect our borders from illegals carrying drugs, disease and a distaste for America. But, can we protect our borders from Obama?  God help us.

There should be no more politicization and polarization coming from the Attorney General’s office. Eric Holder has been the most egregious and unjust man to ever hold the office. Even now he is trying to influence the outcome of the Ferguson grand jury by his public inferences.

There should be no more denigration of small businesses and their owners, owners who have worked so hard for so long to build something only to have them mocked from Obama’s and his alter ego’s (Liz Warren) bully pulpits.

It is no small thing that the average age in congress is now 50 years of age instead of 62. And, it is no small thing that Congress is now to be filled with a “DIVERSITY “of women and minority Republicans: (Iowa’s Senator-elect Joni Ernst, Utah’s Mia LoveWest Virginia’s Senator-elect Shelley Moore Capito, South Carolina’s first black American Senator-elect Tim Scott; the first Indian-American Nikki Haley reelected as South Carolina’s governor). They have been elected to speak for the people.

A gentle reminder:  It is in “God We Trust” and not the Republican Party, the majority or vox populi vox dei.

The 2014 vote was vote for a return of our humanity and, knowingly or not, for a God who endowed each of us-not collectivism’s bureaucracy-with natural rights and their guardian angel responsibilities

The previous majority party, the “hear no evil, see no evil” party stomped their feet and endlessly spoke evil of the generous job-creating KOCH brothers. That majority didn’t listen to the people or to God. We have paid an enormous price for their childish obstinacy.

2014: Hope has found its needed change – a sea change that should lift all boats.

VIDEO: “Stupid voters” would have killed Obamacare

First Principles – Dr. Ben Carson

Filibusters – Serendipitous Teaching Times –Nuked By The Dems

Below are some significant Constitutional concerns broached by Sen. Rand Paul during his 13-hour filibuster speech.  Excerpts from a Cato Institute Commentary by Nat Hentoff, the article appeared on Cato.org on March 19, 2013:

And despite the tremendous national impact of Sen. Rand Paul’s 13-hour filibuster speech, how much of its startling details even registered for long? Meanwhile, the Republican from Kentucky was teaching many of us what we never realized — on just how subservient we are becoming to the state.

As I wrote last week, Paul said he was concerned that Americans targeted for suspected terrorist ties would be destroyed in America itself. He revealed in an editorial in The Washington Times: “The president said, ‘I haven’t killed anyone yet, and I have no intention of killing Americans. But I might’ ” (“Rising in defense of the Constitution,” Rand Paul, Washington Times, March 8).

I have a complete transcript of Paul’s 13-hour speech, including his follow-up to this presidential contempt for the separation of powers: “What if the president were to say, ‘I haven’t broken the First Amendment yet; I intend to follow it, but I might break it.’

”Later, Paul said: “Presidents, Republican and Democrats, believing in some sort of inherent power that’s not listed anywhere … For a hundred years or so, power’s been gravitating to the president — and the executive branch.”

And dig this from Rand Paul: “One of the complaints that you hear a lot of times in the media is about there is no bipartisanship in Congress. (But) if you look at people who don’t really believe in much restraint of government as far as civil liberties, it really is on both sides.”

Regarding Obamacare, a huge thorn in our side:

“When we passed Obamacare, it was 2,000-some-odd pages. There have been 9,000 pages of regulations written since. Obamacare had 1,800 references that the Secretary of Health shall decide at a later date. We (the people) gave up that power. We gave up power that should have been ours, that should have been written into the legislation. We gave up that power to the executive branch … many of whom we call bureaucrats, unelected.”

Perhaps you remember this from a congressman to Paul during his 13-hour speech: “They say the United States is the battlefield (against terrorism) now … This battlefield being here at home means you don’t get due process at home … Is that what we’re moving toward?”

Paul got more penetratingly specific: “The question is, if the government is going to decide who are sympathizers (with terrorists), and people who are politicians with no checks and balances are to decide who is a sympathizer, is there a danger really that people who have political dissent could be included in this?” (emphasis mine)

With the help (?) of the IRS’ Lois Lerner we now know the answer to this question.

You can hear more of Rand’s Consititutional concerns, including Obama’s flippant attitude to the droning of Americans, for yourself:

What is the point of our democracy if one person ramrods arbitrary laws and rules with demagoguery down the throats of Americans? And, Obama has told us that he is doing so at the whim of “fundamentally transforming the nation.” Shouldn’t “we the people” be involved in deciding what “transformation” takes place?

Obama’s antinomianism is a characteristic of the moral relativists of the Left who pronounce “the ends justify the means.” The ends do NOT justify the means and especially when the means and the ends are tyrannically enforced on unknowing and unwilling Americans.

Moreover, Obama knows that he has no fully justifiable legal, moral and intellectual grounds for doing what he does apart from Congress and “we the people.” He is a maverick greater than any McCain. He is a loose cannon. (from my comment to Legal Insurrection’s post “An increasingly dangerous presidency” by William A. Jacobson)

James McAfee and Obamacare on Neil Cavuto’s show:

James McAfee of McAfee Software (software security) and his thoughts about the Obamacare exchange system:

Personally, I would rather pay the Obamacare fine than to go to one of these Obamacare exchanges and give up my complete privacy over to the government or to hackers.

You would have to be insane to sign up!

Maybe now you will understand why Tea Party members/Libertarians in Congress stand against Obamacare and big government.  It is way out of control.

Do you really want government to manage your health care needs when the government has shown you that it cannot even manage itself?

Are you really so scared of life and death that you must depend on government to bail you out?  What happened to REAL Americans?

Tell your representatives today to defund/delay/destroy Obamacare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The First “Oh Well”

Christmas gives me the blues and I don’t mean the Johnny Mathis singing “Blue Christmas” blues.  I mean the whole consumer blitzkrieg-droned carol-endless line-crass sentimentality blues called The Holidays. Blah! Bummerbug! If Santa Claus never makes it to town that’s OK with me.

Black Friday came and went unnoticed. As will Cyber Monday.  I have what I need and so does every else. That’s my guess but you wouldn’t know it by the mindless occupiers waiting to purchase the newest doll or device that would tell them they are special. And speaking of mindless occupation…

When you have someone like Obama Claus who pushes a food stamp agenda instead of a jobs agenda and trades free cell phones for votes and redistributes taxpayer monies to his crony friends in the green energy business and supplies weapons of mass destruction to Mexican drug lords and completely ignores murderous threats to our own Libyan Embassy and you have something so tangible as the unread but tax-mandated Obamacare what else do you really need?  Perhaps a Big Gulp to choke down your last union-made and destroyed Twinkie?  51 % of voters voted for this Godless Xmess.

I recently saw a tee-shirt which had the imprint, “Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.”  “Merry Christmas kids!” as my very angry mother would yell at us when we had behaved so badly that Christmas was on the verge of being banished from our household forever.

People in Chicago also voted to put Jesse Jackson Jr, back into office! This boggles the mind! Happy Holidays! 51% of you got what you wanted.

Oh, well. I’ll be home for Christmas while I still have private property.

Doctor Doctor Give Me the News

Dr. Barbara Bellar – a former nun, an Army major, a lawyer, a college professor and a physician who wishes to be a state senator from Illinois:

The Lord of Ism’s Prayer

Our Obama which art in the White House

Wallowed be thy fame.

Thy -ism come,

Thy will be done nationally

As it is in North Korea.

Give us this day our daily ration.

And forgive us our liberty,

As we forgive those who use their liberty to pay their own way.

And lead us not into the debt-free living,

But deliver us from clarity

For thine is the government, the IRS and the media

For as long as we vote.

Ahem.

Here is an interesting statement from Chairman Mao, April 30, 1971:

“China should learn from the way America developed, by decentralizing and spreading responsibility and wealth among 50 states.  A central government could not do everything.  China must depend upon regional and local initiative.  It would not do [spreading his hands] to leave everything up to him [Mao].

Exactly!

Here is Father Robert A. Sirico making it perfectly clear why capitalism is GOOD.  (There is a surprise at the end of the video, too.)
